Wrapped in Beauty: The Inspiration Behind My Gardenia Print Robes, Pajamas and Nightshirts
I am thrilled to be launching the first pattern in my new Chinoiserie Collection: The Gardenia Print. The soothing nature scene is captured in soft tonal colors that beckon you to breathe easy and feel your best.
Growing up my mother had most of the rooms in our house covered with beautiful wallpaper. My great grandmother loved wallpapers by the famous interior designer Nancy McClelland, and had every wall of her Brick House on Shelburne Farms papered with unique American prints. Those memories, woven with my own inspiration, helped create what you see today.
Meticulously drawn and painted by hand in the Chinoiserie tradition, the gardenia flower is a personal favorite of mine. I love its soft white petals, and the fragrance instantly transports me to happiness! Using a classic Chinoiserie scene, I set the blossoms among birds both large and small to invoke depth and tranquility.

I have tried to capture the feeling of transforming any ordinary moment – morning or evening – into an elegant affair. You deserve to be wrapped in beauty before a busy day unfolds, and while it’s winding to an end.
